Real voices from the veterans who showed up — and found their crew again.
Veteran isolation doesn't always look dramatic. Sometimes it's just silence, distance, and "I'm fine." These are the voices of people who showed up — and found their crew again.
VSC is absolutely fantastic! They have helped me and many others get out of the house and socialize with like-minded people. Since leaving the military, I have always said, 'I miss the monkeys, not the circus.' VSC provides the outlet to hang out with those monkeys. Additionally, VSC provides ways for veterans to get access to benefits and other much-needed resources. If you are a veteran, I highly recommend the Veteran Social Club!
The Veteran Social Club is an absolute gem for anyone who has served in the military. It provides a welcoming, judgment-free space where veterans from all branches and eras can come together, share stories, and build lasting connections. Whether you’re newly separated or have been out for decades, this club offers a sense of community that so many vets miss after transitioning to civilian life.
What makes it truly special is how it actively helps combat the isolation that too often affects veterans. Through regular meetups, events, and outreach efforts, the Veteran Social Club encourages camaraderie and purpose. You’re not just hanging out—you’re part of a mission to lift each other up.
It’s more than a social outlet—it’s a powerful support network that empowers veterans to stay connected, stay active, and stay strong. Highly recommended for any vet looking to find their tribe and feel that brotherhood or sisterhood again.
I'm so grateful to Veteran Social Club for providing opportunities to join fellow veterans on various activities in Las Vegas. I always have a great time going on hikes and connecting with other veterans. If you miss the camaraderie of the military or have been isolating yourself away at home like I was check out a VSC event. You'll be glad you did.
Veteran Social Club is exactly what Las Vegas area veterans needed. A group that puts veterans over accolades! A group that puts camaraderie over profit! VSC truly cares about the welfare of our veterans!
Being a part of the Veteran Social Club has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. As a veteran, finding a place where I felt understood and supported hasn’t always been easy — but VSC changed that.
They’ve built a community where veterans can come together without judgment, whether it’s out on a hike, at a fundraiser, or just grabbing a coffee and catching up. It’s more than just events — it’s about connection, brotherhood, and reminding each other that we’re not alone in this transition to civilian life.
The mission of VSC — 'to provide a safe and encouraging community for veterans and military members to engage, interact, and grow their social and support network' — isn’t just words on a website. It’s something they live out in everything they do.
If you’re a veteran looking for a place to belong, or someone who wants to support an organization that truly makes a difference, take a look at what VSC is doing. You won’t find a better group of people.
I have been playing softball with the Veteran Social Club for a year now and it's always a great time with fellow veterans! So thankful to the VSC for sponsoring and creating a social space for veterans to get together and play ball! I made some of the best memories with the team and it's all thanks to VSC!!
The Veteran Social Club has created something truly special. As a veteran, it can be challenging to find spaces that foster camaraderie, healthy competition, and genuine connection.
What makes the softball side of the club stand out isn’t just the game, it’s the spirit behind it. It’s the high-fives after a double play, the laughs in the dugout, and the conversations that continue long after the final inning. This isn’t just a recreational league; it’s a community. It’s where bonds are built over shared stories, light-hearted banter, and a love for the game.
The program brings together veterans of all backgrounds, creating an inclusive and supportive environment. Whether you’re out to win or just out for a good time, you’re guaranteed to walk away with more than just stats and laughs, you leave with friendships, purpose, and a renewed sense of belonging.
Kudos to the Veteran Social Club for understanding the value of play as a powerful connector. The softball field has become more than just a diamond for me personally it’s a cornerstone of community for those who’ve served and at outlet to keep my mind and mental health at peace.
Somehow, an event post about a hike with some local veterans popped up on my feed about a year ago. I’ve had a hard time making close civilian friends in Vegas so decided why not try this group out. That hike turned out to be an amazing experience- the hike itself was a blast but more importantly, I met an awesome group of people. I’ve since joined the VSC Softball team and Wednesday nights are now the best part of my week. From the first game, I felt welcomed and have loved hanging out with these vets. Everyone has a unique background (all branches are represented) and so many are involved in programs that help the local veteran community as well. If you are a vet and looking for community, trying to recreate that military bond you may be missing, or just want to laugh and talk crap, I highly suggest coming to a VSC event.
One of our members from the veterans non profit I belong to organized a sort of mixer event at love lady brewery. It was a great time hanging out with other vets from different non profits. I soon started following the Facebook page and found that they had a softball team. It turned out that they needed more players so I signed up.
This next part is a bit more personal. But I got to share it. I have struggled in the home front for a long time. I was in a bad place in my head and struggling with my family. I decided to just show up to the game. And I’m glad I did. I look forward to our weekly games.
Veterans Social Club is a family. If you are lost, not sure where to go, there is a home right here for you. It’s not always easy to make new friends, especially if you are a veteran. There is a family within this organization that will always be here for you, and help you find a sense of meaning. Whether that’s playing hockey, softball, or just spending time with others like you, VSC has something to offer. Being apart of this organization for such a short time, I already can feel the impact and I am proud to be apart of it. From the Warrior Hockey program, to the charity work and just the good times. I highly recommend getting involved and being apart of such a great team. Looking forward to the future and to the continued friendships!
Membership is free. The camaraderie is priceless.
